Autodesk ReCap Pro 2022.1
Previously, the "project" file that was exported from recap processing inside the "support" file was relatively easy to handle given its "smaller" size. Since the recent update, I notice that the same file is nearly 10x the size it used to be...I can deal with this given the options to reduce the point count in recap pro, but what is different now?

Starting with Civil 3D 2022.1, we enhanced the overall performance of the product and enhanced the efficiency of common corridor modeling workflows. We added retaining wall grading objects for quick iterations of retaining walls in Grading Optimization for Civil 3D. We also added new capabilities for railway turnouts and crossovers, and more.
Rail Design Turnout and Crossover GeometryWith the updated turnout and crossover tool in Civil 3D 2022.1, railroad track designers can now control many new input parameters. That includes turnout type, turnout angle, and direction and side of the turnout. You now have the same degree of control with crossovers.
Project Explorer for Civil 3D 2022.1 has been enhanced with new tools to support the creation, editing, and reporting of railway designs. This update also contains enhancements to make tables and reports more customizable. Enhancements include:
Civil 3D 2022.1 includes performance enhancements throughout in response to customer feedback we received in a wide-ranging customer satisfaction survey. This survey suggested that you sought performance improvements more than any other upgrade in future releases. In Civil 3D 2022.1, you can expect speed improvements of up to 80% in several areas*, including:
Civil 3D 2022.1 delivers additional enhancements to pressure network capabilities. Now you can more easily edit a pressure pipe run and the fittings and appurtenances along it without the parts detaching from the pipe run. You can also add grips to fittings and appurtenances to better control the orientation of these parts. In addition, you can sort fittings and appurtenances in the drop-down lists when adding these parts to the model.
For Revit 2022.1, an array of new and improved features reduce manual effort, including more flexibility in creating Family Parameters. Small but helpful upgrades, like Snap-to-Midpoint and Align-Lock features, make placing, measuring, and sketching more accurate. There is also more automation for MEP and Structural engineering workflows, along with a duplicate sheets feature sourced directly from Revit Ideas, saving time for everyone using Revit.
Revit 2022.1 takes another step forward in supporting the process of BIM: documentation upgrades to save time and effort, more flexibility in your choice of tools, and a more functional, stable, and performant software for your BIM workflows. 041b061a72
